This modern kitchen in Wakefield belongs to Mr & Mrs Haigh, of Sandal, who approached Twenty 5 Design to create a kitchen that would become the central hub of their family home.

They chose the Milton in-frame range in a classic alabaster. Set in a solid timber frame, Milton´s simple Shaker-inspired door's classical in-frame design lends a streamlined sophistication this any modern kitchen. A further contemporary twist was added with a vivid splash of cranberry on their island.

The kitchen has a pitched roof, creating a light and airy space. The kitchen also opens out to the garden, providing further light, with an open vista through to the living area.  The room is accentuated by contemporary feature lighting

Light quartz worktops complement the painted cabinetry with oak on the island adding warmth and enhancing the wooden floor.

This kitchen needed to be accessible for the clients’ young son, who is wheelchair bound. He now has a dedicated section in the kitchen, to the left of the window, where there is storage with internal wirework, making the living space far more accessible for him than in the family's previous kitchen.

We were delighted that Mr & Mrs Haigh's kitchen was voted 'Kitchen of the Month' in November 2014 by Second Nature.
