Stormy Blue-Hued Kitchens
Dark blue kitchens are very much in although they may seem scary at first and when paired with white they’re easily managed and quite enjoyable to live with too. Choose a stormy blue for kitchen cabinets and materials like marble for worktops then introduce metal accents along with light woods, this will add layers and break up the scheme. If you’re not convinced why not make a visit to our kitchen showroom? Taking pride of place at the front of our store is our new on-trend blue show kitchen!
Green and Leafy Kitchens
According to Pinterest, searches are up for plantlife within the home. They cleanse the air and provide subtle pops of colour as well as a feel-good vibe. So in your new kitchen why not consider a worktop with a lush herb garden? Alternatively, fix to the wall for an organic feature and easy to reach fresh seasoning.
Smart Kitchen Appliances
Home automation is fast on the rise especially for modern kitchens and many of the brands are getting on board with smartphone-controlled appliances. Dubbed as the ultimate in convenience for smart kitchens, this is one trend we can’t praise enough. To find out more have a read of this post and explore the new Home Connect.
Mulberry, Mauve and Violet Accents
It’s fifty shades of plum right now as we’re seeing the colour purple reign and this kitchen in particular features orchid splashbacks with grey Second Nature cabinets. The beauty of using a hint of purple is that it creates drama with equal comfort and as you can see in this kitchen it’s a shade that dazzles without being too overpowering.
Sophisticated Boiling Water Taps
The tap that does it all, a Quooker product will definitely not disappoint and this fabulous fixture is still making waves with the recent launch of the Quooker CUBE. These boiling water taps are also available in on-trend brass and black and will make a fashionable addition in any new kitchen for a modern and glamorous vibe. The brass finish, in particular, likens itself to a piece of splendid jewellery and it won’t look out of place when paired with quartz or modern concrete worktops. The Quooker black boiling water tap, on the other hand, is just as smart. Black kitchen taps look great with light coloured units or just as dark if you’re feeling daring.
Statement Kitchen Chairs and Stools
Black accessories emerged last year, hence the edgy Quooker black tap and one year on the trend’s still going strong and influencing kitchen chairs. Predicted to be the style icon of the modern dining room, ‘the little black chair’ will suit all tastes. We recommend the Axyl design from the Allermuir range, especially in inky matte black.
